Up-and-coming indie band The Bembol Rockers launched its debut album "The Fabulous Bembol Rockers," last September 6 at the Eastwood City Central Plaza. Dishing out a unique and fun mix of fifties rockabilly, jump blues, swing, doo-wop, and latin, the Bembol Rockers offer eleven all-original tracks in its album, headlined by its carrier single, "Boogie Mo."

The much awaited Eraserheads: The Reunion concert was truly a night to remember. Finally, another encore to the most successful, critically-acclaimed, and significant band in the history of Original Pinoy Music. It was the reunion of all reunions. The crowd cheered when the countdown started. As the band took the stage, the whole Bonifacio Global City Open Field went wild.

The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial is located in Global City, Taguig. It contains the largest number of graves of the military dead of World War II. 570 Filipino scouts, who served with U.S. forces in the Pacific, are also buried in the cemetery. 3,762 Filipino soldiers are also on the Walls of the Missing.

One of Manila's underrated landmarks is Paco Park, a former Cemetery, and now a National Historical Shrine, located right across the Paco Fire Station in San Marcelino. Christmas season at Bauan, Batangas is made more unique and memorable with their yearly parol-making contest, participated by students and teachers from Bauan National High School. The handmade parols are breathtakingly beautiful and creative as each parol makes use of recycled, indigenous products that are seemingly mundane but are impressively transformed into works of art.


Gorgeous star-shaped lanterns that Filipino families display in their homes during the season are reinvented by the contestants, making use of materials like corn and corn husks, fish scales, palay, to cigarette sticks and pistachio nuts.


The winning parols of this year's contest will be put on display at the CCP grounds this season, as part of their festivities in 'Paskong Pinoy', this December 18.
